Making a Difference
The Ben D. Johnson Educational Center is proud to have AmeriCorps VISTA members working tirelessly to build the capacity and sustainability of our programs. AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) is a national service program dedicated to ending poverty by building the capacity of nonprofit organizations and public agencies. There are Full Year VISTA Member positions and Summer Associate 8-10 week positions. See current available positions below.
A federal program administered through the Corporation for National & Community Service (CNCS); VISTA attracts more than 7,000 Americans a year to engage in anti-poverty activities in communities throughout the nation. AmeriCorps VISTA members serve as a catalyst for change, living and working alongside community members to meet our nation's most pressing challenges.
